Reflexology

Reflexology is a gentle and relaxing complementary therapy that can be enjoyed by almost anyone. A reflexologist will use gentle pressure and massage techniques on the hands or feet to manipulate specific reflexes which correspond to the organs and systems of the body. Not only does a treatment leave you feeling completely relaxed, it will also encourage the body back into a state of balance and improve overall wellbeing. Reflexology is well known to complement conventional medicine and can have extremely positive results for those suffering with long-term or recurring conditions, such as headaches, migraines, insomnia, IBS, anxiety, depression, menopause symptoms and many more.
Foot Reflexology
Foot reflexology is a relaxing, holistic therapy which aims to bring the body back into a state of balance. By working on reflexes or pressure points of the feet that correspond with each area of the body, it helps to flush out toxins, reduce stress levels and boost circulation.
What to expect from a treatment...
Once I have welcomed you into my treatment room, you will take a seat in my comfortable recliner chair and pop your feet into a lovely warm foot spa to cleanse and refresh them before we start. (It is best to wear loose trousers or trousers that can be rolled up to your knees for this treatment.)
If it is your first visit, we will run through a full health and lifestyle consultation so that I can ensure the treatment provided is fully tailored to you and your needs. If you have been to see me before, we will have a catch up about any issues from previous treatments, discuss how you felt after your last visit and decide on a treatment plan for this appointment if anything needs to be altered.
Once all of that has been done, I will recline the chair, ensure you are warm and comfortable with the support of pillows and a soft blanket, so that you can relax and drift off whilst listening to the calming music.
Your treatment will start with a soothing lower leg and foot massage, after which I will apply firm but gentle pressure (it’s not ticklish!) to your lower legs and feet. I will focus on the various reflex points found in your feet, concentrating more on any areas that were flagged in your consultation. During the session I will make notes about what I feel which will help me to understand not only which areas to focus on this time, but also which areas might require more attention next time you visit.
When the treatment is finished I will leave you to relax for a few minutes whilst I get you a glass of water, and once you are ready, we will chat about how you feel and discuss anything that I noticed during the session.
Length of Treatment – 1hr (1hr 30mins for your first visit)
Price - £40 (£45 for your first visit)

Hand Reflexology
Hand reflexology has exactly the same benefits as foot reflexology. Both treatments are equally as relaxing and valuable in terms of what they do, it is purely personal preference as to whether the treatment is carried out on the hands or the feet. By working on reflexes or pressure points of the hands that correspond with each area of the body, it helps to flush out toxins, reduce stress levels and boost circulation which in turn encourages the body back into a state of balance.

Aromatic Reflexology
Aromatic reflexology is when we incorporate the power of essential oils into your treatment. The use of essential oils further enhances the positive impact of the treatment you receive. I have a selection of recipes for you to choose from depending on what you feel needs addressing on the day… blends include one to ease headache symptoms, another that aids digestion as well one that supports women’s health, plus many others.

What to expect from a treatment...
After welcoming you into my treatment room and getting you settled for either foot or hand reflexology, we will start to discuss the oils that can be used. Together we will decide which recipe will benefit you the most and I will then blend this for you within the wax to be used during the session. There will be plenty of your unique blend to take away with you so you can carry on using it and benefitting from it for up to 14 days after your treatment.
